The Stable Isotope Geochemistry Laboratory (SIGL) in Earth Sciences at the University of Queensland, Australia has one of the most comprehensive laboratories in the southern hemisphere, with a full suite of equipment covering the complete cycle from preparation to analysis of the stable isotopes in geological and environmental samples.
Established in 1960 the laboratory has strong connections with both industry and government combined with an exemplary record of academic research. The laboratory is housed in the Richards building on the Great Court and is located in what was the original Geology museum.
